help me name my new baby!! i like old fashioned names...help me name her and maybe you will win something if i pick your name... i cant wait to try out all the weird feet she came with!
Lydia is a nice name. She is pretty. I have a featherweight also and have never taken the time to try out all the feet on that or the ones I have for other machines.
Hey Soooz, you popped up on my bloglist! Your machine is a real babe. My great aunt was called Hester and it's kind of a formidable lady name. ike you'd try to help her cross the road and she'd push you away with a sharp jab of her walking stick!
This is a great list, I love old fashioned names. My suggestion is Hilda (my lovely great-grandma's name), but it's hard to compete with some of the ones already suggested. Lovely new family member too!
(whining) I want a feather weight!! If I had one I would probaly name it after one of my Grandmas. Helen or Olive. Since I dont have one, feel free to use one of those names. (mauh) Liz

Hey I missed out the l in like. Lol. Perv.
I think Mabel would be perfect! For some reason, she just looks like a Mabel to me.
mabel is a good name. although i already gave my other suggestions yesterday...
Greta, like from the Sound of Music.
Not sure I can top Hester...I loved my Great Aunt Pearl, so that is my go to old fashioned name. Pearl. Congratulations, she's a beauty.
My first thought was Gladys cause it sounds sassy, but I am going to go with Gloria because she is GLORIOUS!
ooooooh - she's a beauty! I think she looks like an Alice. Ready to follow you on whatever adventure you want!
Dorothy. Very popular around 1910. Very suitable I think.
My grandmother's name was Izola, and I think that would be perfect too! She was born in 1905, so that's about right.
I have one just like her and have yet to give her a name. It was my grandmother's. How about Betty or Matilda?
I like Minnie, like maybe a formal name of Aunt Minnie. Not the mouse, but a nice ol' lady ready to help you stitch up your tea towels and aprons. :)

Esme? Which translates to ES-MER-AL-DA! when she's misbehaving. (It really works, I've tested it on our dog).

My grandma and her sisters were named - Gertrude, Ethel Mae, and Blanche. Now those are names from the same era as the feather weight!
Edith or Ida...my girls
Tildie short for Matilda!
